straightforward about how this site makes money.
The Short Version
In Homestead participates in affiliate programs, including the

small commission — at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate income helps keep In Homestead running: hosting, tools,
the time spent researching and writing. It doesn’t change the price
you pay, and it doesn’t change what I recommend.
How I Choose What to Recommend
I only recommend products and resources that:
- I’ve personally used or thoroughly researched
- I’d genuinely recommend to a friend starting out
- Fit the values of this blog: practical, durable, worth the money
If I haven’t used it myself, I’ll tell you that directly. If a
recommendation turns out to be wrong, I update the post. Honesty
beats commissions every time.
What You’ll See

help you pick between options. - Inline links — when I mention a tool, book, or product in the
